Handicapped Plates easier to Seek

It's now easier to apply for handicapped plates and placards. The application process used to be handled by the DMV Trenton headquarters. But now can be processed through any of the 45 DMV agencies statewide. Previous applicants for plates or plackards had to mail an application to Trenton where the request was reviewed and processed.

Now customers can download the applcation on the web at www.state.nj.us/mvc. Visit any agency to obtain the plates or plackards instantly.
